Semiconductors are materials that control the flow of electricity in devices like phones and computers. They are crucial components in almost all modern electronics.
Semiconductors power essential devices like computers, cars, and medical equipment. They play an important role in our everyday lives, making daily tasks easier without us even realizing it. In fact, anything with an on/off switch could have started in or been made at a fabrication facility where chips are made.
A chip is a tiny electronic device made from semiconductors that powers gadgets like computers and phones. Essentially, semiconductors are the building blocks, and chips are the finished products.
Domestic production ensures a steady supply of semiconductors for critical industries like defense and electronics and reduces reliance on foreign suppliers.
